The 2009 Hamptons Auto Classic 2009 was one for the record books. There were so few people in attendance it was shocking. Although I was not privy to the sales figures, I was in the tent and close enough to experience the painful silence of non bidding--regardless of price. If you were so interested in any of these automobiles, non reserve cars could be acquired for shockingly low amounts. The auctioneer was literally begging people to bid. Oh these crazy days!
